Today I welcome friend and fellow author Steven Montano to my home in cyberspace. I’ve had Steven here a couple of times before and today we’re cross-promoting each other’s books. He’s promoting Devil’s Nightmare on his site and I’m helping promote his new novel The Black Tower, Book 3 of The Skullborn Trilogy. Check it out below:

The Black TowerWar returns to Malzaria in this epic conclusion to The Skullborn Trilogy.

Deep in the wastes called the Bonelands, rival crime guilds and renegade Bloodspeakers battle through the ruined streets of Corinth. At the heart of the doomed city lies a magical portal which grants access to the dark citadel of Chul Gaerog, wherein lie the secrets of the long dead Blood Queen.

Armies amass to the south as powerful forces from the Jlantrian and Den’nari Empires make ready to clash with the monstrous Black Army and its frightful leader, the black giant called Ghul, agent of the Cabal and ally of the dreaded Iron Count.

And deep in the heart of the black tower, the dream witch Ijanna Taivorkan comes face-to-face with the dark angel Calladar, once guardian to the Blood Queen and self-appointed master of the citadel. Only the fallen knight Azander Dane can help her survive her trials, but first he must face the demons of his past, as well as a merciless squad of Jlantrian hunters sent to destroy the woman he’s sworn to protect…

Return to a world of dark magic, tainted heroes and dark plots in this action-packed sequel to City of Scars and Path of Bones.

Coming November 13th!

The wait is finally over! Devil’s Nightmare: Premonitions, the much anticipated sequel to the Amazon bestselling Devil’s Nightmare is now available to purchase worldwide. If you pre-ordered it, Amazon should have automatically pushed it to your Kindle. If not, be sure to sync your device to check for new content.

For the rest of my readers, I’ve included all of the buy links below. If you haven’t read Devil’s Nightmare (Book 1) yet, you can get it for the bargain price of only 99 cents on Kindle to get you hooked. Premonitions is only $2.99. If you don’t have a Kindle, you can still read my books with the free Kindle Reader App. For those who prefer the classic format, the print version of Devil’s Nightmare: Premonitions will be available soon on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other online retailers, but it is available to order direct from my printer CreateSpace.

Sequel to the Amazon bestselling horror Devil’s Nightmare, I’m bringing fans of the first novel another horrific thriller full of twists, chills, and a shocking conclusion. Two years have passed since Aaron Sanders retired from the Austin Police Department after what the media has called The Saint Hedwig Massacre. He moves his family out of the capital city to start a new life as a small town cop in Lost Maples, Texas, where the population count is updated more often than the murder rate. That bit of reputation is about to change when Aaron is once again caught in the middle of a mysterious investigation that has an eerie familiarity. This time, however, he is certain what is responsible for the violent deaths . . . Or is he?

Evil knows no boundaries and it is up to Aaron to figure out how to protect the residents of his community, and his family, from becoming its next victims.

Now available for Kindle (and Kindle Reading Apps):

Word-of-mouth is the best form of advertising, so if you are willing, I could use your help. Tell your friends and family about Devil’s Nightmare by sharing on Twitter and Facebook, sending smoke signals, or wearing a sandwich board. Every little bit helps. Thank you very much for your support and I hope you enjoy Devil’s Nightmare: Premonitions.

The Blood Moon

This morning I witnessed a “Blood Moon” lunar eclipse for the first time in my life. After howling at the moon a few times, I took several photos , but only a couple of them came out sharp enough to be worth a darn. I thought I would share those with everyone. They aren’t the best photos, but I think they’re not too bad for an amateur with an unsteady hand. So, did you see the “Blood Moon” this morning?

DEVIL’S NIGHTMARE
PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
October 4-18, 2014

A few days ago, during my interview over at An Author’s Ramblings, I announced that I’m going to have a PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST to test your knifing skills. I want to thank Patty Allread at My Cooking Life for this fun idea. Many of you are probably already planning on hitting the pumpkin patches anyway, so why not also enter your Jack-o-Lantern into a contest? If you think you have what it takes to carve the coolest or scariest pumpkin, then I challenge you to participate.

Sharky Teeth 1

So, here’s how it’ll work:

  • You’ll slice up your pumpkin and post a photo of you with your work of art to my Facebook author event page HERE or via Twitter HERE. Be sure to name your pumpkin (used for voting purposes) and include the hashtag #DevilsNightmarePumpkins.
  • DEADLINE for submission is Saturday, October 18. I’ll then compile all of the submissions and then include them in a blog post on Monday, October 20 where the public will be able to vote for the best pumpkin carving.
  • Voting will end on Sunday, October 27 and I’ll announce the winner on Halloween.

Sharky Teeth 1

I know this questions is burning on your mind now: So, what does the winner get? First of all, EVERY PARTICIPANT IS A WINNER, because everyone who carves a pumpkin and enters the contest will get a FREE Kindle version of my Amazon bestselling horror Devil’s Nightmare. If you don’t have a Kindle, you can still read it with a free Kindle reading app available for multiple devices HERE. One random participant will also win an autographed copy one of my books.

That’s awesome, but what about the grand prize? What does the person with the coolest pumpkin carving get? I’m a starving novelist, so no trips to Las Vegas or big screen TVs are up for grabs. However, I will be giving the winner a signed and personalized copy of Devil’s Nightmare and Devil’s Nightmare: Premonitions. Plus, you’ll have the pride of knowing your pumpkin was selected as the coolest pumpkin in the world!

So, what are you waiting for? Start slicing up that pumpkin and post those pics! I look forward to seeing what you all submit.

Cheers!
